Mezzanine floors provide an ideal solution, by utilising unused vertical space within a building at a fraction of moving to larger premises. Each mezzanine floor is designed specifically to suit the site conditions and the purpose for which it is to be installed.
Working closely with your Local Authority or our approved inspector we can ensure that your project meets the required legislations and with our vast experience within the industry we can ensure that your mezzanine is installed safely and practically and with minimum distruption to your business.
In addition to our mezzanine structures we offer high quality ancillaries, such as our edge protection system, staircases and loading gates all powder coated as standard to give a high quality finish.
A range of decking boards is available on request, ranging from normal 38mm HIGH Density Particle Board to moisture resistant and non slip fabric backed boards.
Exposed perimeter edges are protected by a hand and knee rail system, nominally 1.1m high (powder coated as standard), again different finishes are available from industrial systems to infilled handrail such as glass or mesh balustrades to suit public access.
Staircases vary from 900mm wide open treads to 1200mm wide closed treads depending on the nature of the application. As such in a ‘retail’ or ‘showroom’ environment a much wider staircase conforming to Part M Building Regulations is required. Again a wide range of finishes to handrails are available.
Where required ‘Fire Protection’ can be installed to the Mezzanine Floor, consisting of a Suspended Ceiling to the underside of the steelwork, all vertical columns clad in a fire protective case and vertical bulkheads to the perimeter.
The design and layout of the steelwork is based accordingly to suit ‘our’ customers existing site layout and therefore columns and base plates are kept to a minimum.
All Mezzanine Floors require a ‘Building Regulations’ Application to be submitted for approval. Our site technicians will advise on every aspect of the necessary steps required to satisfy the regulations governing individual floors – be it storage, office or retail. Initial consultation is made with the specialist Building Regulations department to ensure that the Mezzanine Floor is designed in accordance with up to date legislation.
